Non modular cables on Seasonic M12II 650W

It has three non modular cables. A 20/24 pin ATX one for the motherboard, a 6+2 pin pci-e with sli and one other one which I cant figure out. It has a 4+4 pin connection. Anyone know?

  1. Hi,

    4+4 connector is CPU power 12V. If your CPU requires 8 pin connector then you connect both of them, if your mobo has only one connector (4 pin) then connect only one. You can't make mistake with that :).

  3. It's just an extra connection. With that PSU, you only connect what you need. You don't have to use all the connections.

    All motherboards require a CPU power connect. In your case, it's an 8-pin connection at the top of your board (if your expansion slots are lower left), just to the right of your PS/2 rear IO port.

    It has the 8 pin variety - the socket is located on the edge of the board near the cpu.
