So recently I have bought a new computer for gaming, I am not the smartest at this stuff so I went and bought a graphics card because my friend has the same type computer and graphics card I thought it would work turns out his is a older model and the PCI-E connectors are different.
The grapgics card I boutgh is a GIGABYTE GTS 450 and the power supply connectors look like this http://img.directcanada.com/images/GIGABYTE/GV-N450-1GI/GV-N450-1GI_4.jpg

but every connector in my pc all look like this http://images.bit-tech.net/content_images/2008/12/antec-signature-850w-psu/sata-8.jpg I think it is called a SATA X2 but im no expert any way I was wondering if there is some sort of new plugin compactable with my SATA X2 plugins that will connect and work with my grapgics card OR if I should just return the card all together..

Oh and here are my specs!

Well to run that card you need a 400w power supply unit and yours appears to be only a 300w. So even it it had the right connectors, you would not be able to run the graphics card.

I would definitely recommend a graphics card though since you appear to be running on integrated Intel graphics currently. Intel's integrated graphics have come a long way, but they are still way behind AMD's integrated graphics and miles behind most dedicated cards.

While your i5 isn't anything spectacular, it's still a decent CPU and can probably handle a better GPU than the 450. However, there's more information we need too.

How much RAM is installed?
Budget?
What games and quality are you wanting?

Check your power supply for a cable whose end looks like either one of these:

If your power supply does not have one of these cables, then your graphics card should have come with the cable on the left of the first image. That cable connects with two 4-pin molex cables:

The black end of the Y-cable connects to your graphics card.

Well as I said my friend has the same everything accept the model and the most the card uses is about 150w so he said I would be fine. But if I were to get a different one it would be for games like Crysis, Battlefield 1-4, WarZ, DayZ, Skyrim basically I am looking for a card that will do Medium to High quality on those games in a budget around 100-150 and if I can sell this then 100-200.
