Hello guys,

As the title said: I can't seem to boot my computer; it stuck on POST, right after the memory test (it said 'OK' on the test).

I also can't seem to enter the BIOS setup, QuickFlash or even boot device selection screen; no matter what button I try to press ('Del', 'F10', 'F11', 'F12') nothing happened.

I tried to reset the CMOS (both by jumper and by re-seating the battery) but still no luck.

Tried to boot without my HDD and DVD Drive attached, no difference at all.

This is my computer specifications:

  • Motherboard: Gigabyte H22M-S2
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-530 2.93GHz
  • GPU: nVidia 9800GT 1GB GPU
  • RAM: VGen 2GB DDR3
  • HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200 250GB
  • DVD Drive: Samsung Writemaster
  • PSU: Enlight Sniper 500W PSU

  • Could you please help me on this? I'm not a pro at this sort of thing and now I'm really stuck.

    Thanks in advance.

Could be a RAM issue. Load memtest64 to a CD and boot to it. Run it for many hours (2 passes or more).

I've tried to put a new piece of RAM but the problem still persists.

And turns out the keyboard is also stuck. I tried to push the 'caps lock' key but the LED indicator won't turn on.

    Man, I'm frustrated.. :(

    Okay guys, periodical update:

As of now, I still can't get my computer to boot but I've been spending my time to look for the culprit by taking apart the GPU, DVD-ROM and HDD one by one. The result? Well, I managed to pass the POST only when I detach all things off the motherboard (minus RAM and PSU obviously). But I'm not quite sure about this, how can all devices fail at the exact same time?

Anyway, I'm going to bring my computer to a service kiosk at my local mall tomorrow just to make it sure. I'll try to keep you updated.
