Computer randomly shuts down? Boot issues? Computer shuts down when tapped?

Hey guys,

My computer will randomly shut down, and not turn back on, unless I pull my 24-pin connector out and put it back in, or I reset my CMOS. Ive also been having problems with booting. This only happens every 1 in about 20 boots, but the computer will start to turn on, then shut off, then back on, then back off. Really fast. I can see the light on my fan going on and off, and I can also hear my disk drive spinning on boot, but it gets cut off then turns on, then off, then on. One last thing, my computer will shut down if its tapped. I charge my phone on it, and when it place it on the computer, it will shut off. Or if I walk by my computer it wil turn off. This only happens sometimes. After turning it back on, ill stomp by it to see if persists, and it does not. Everything is plugged in fully.

Any help??

one thing you could do stop the machine unplug power then press start swithc without the ac plug in ,after see on the board if there is nothing tht is loose like the nortbridge soutbridge or even the power connector from the board it could be a loose part on the board .

Thanks for answering, but no I do not have another psu. Any other solutions?

make shure you check all the power connector on the motherboard and parts in the case also check if the board is not touching the case plate directly and the standoff are where they should ,another thing see if your video cable is not making ground with the case a good thing to check also it there is not any wire that could be cut in the sleeve and ground the system . if you could try another ac power cable on that case .

Yes, all is connected. Motherboard is not touching back plate.
