This is what I got.
Intel® Desktop Board DG35EC - motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40ghz - CPU
4GB 800 DDR2 - Ram
EVGA G-Force 8800 GTS KO 640mb GDDR3
and a 600w power supply
Windows 7 64bit

My computer always randomly crashes when playing games. I put my friends old geforce 7950 gt in and it doesn't crash anymore, so I'm looking for a fix or new card for under $100.
Thanks for your time.

Crashes can be difficult to nail down. Generally, it ends up being driver related. But not always. Be sure you system is clean of resource wasting crap, junk files, and registry errors. Run CCleaner.

Also go to MSCONFIG/Start Up and uncheck as many items as possible. Everything running in the background steals resources and adds to the possibility of a problem.

You may want to try uninstalling your existing gfx driver, running Driver Sweeper from safe mode, and have it remove any Nvidia, AMD, & ATI graphics driver remnants it finds. Re-boot and install the latest driver for your card and O/S.
