What's the difference between these two corsair PSUs?

Solution
The 2nd one is 80+ Bronze certified rather than just 80+ certified, so its more efficient. It also complies with the newer ATX specification mentioned.

Basically, the http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139022 ] 2nd one [/url] is more efficient and complies with newer standards. Go for that one.
Has a nicer sticker as well.

EDIT: According to Newegg they both have the same amperage on the 12v rail, while NCIX has the older one with 10A less.

The first one is discontinued, at least on Newegg, and it is an older version of the ATX specification, v2.2 vs. v2.3 on the second one. The second one is a newer version and meets the newer ATX specification. Other than that they are very similar. I'm not sure what differs between v2.2 and v2.3 of the ATX spec.

By looking at the visual design it seems that the one that is cheaper is an older model. Seems like only a face-lift though. The more expensive model has some higher specs (70A vs 60A), different visual design etc., but not sure it matters much.

I used a TX850 V1 for many years without any problems whatsoever. But it has a fan that spins all the time, so it's not suitable for those who are building a silent PC. That is why I replaced mine with a HX 750, although I haven't been completely satisfied with the fan surges it takes. But on the old TX 850W V1 the fan never gets very loud but the constant low rpm spin does add some idle noise in general...

Thanks for your reply, it was quite informative. I guess my links are slightly different because the NCIX 60A says it's 80 PLUS Bronze while newegg says its not. I think the first one is better since its 20$ cheaper, not worth the slightly better efficiency.
