Hi Everyone , I have 2 PC . 1st is old and the other one is New . I tried to sell my old PC but no one purchased it , so I am thinking to Combine my Both PC into one so I can increase my Computers Performance . I read somewhere that its nearly Impossible without right Hardware , So i was wondering that I have right hardware or not . Take my Specs of both PC and please tell me weather i can combine them or not ? If I can then please tell me HOW ?

OLD PC :
Intel Pentium 4 2.66 Ghz 775 socket
Intel GMA 950 inbuilt Graphics
3 GB DDR2 Ram
Asrock 945GCM-S Motherboard
Hitachi 320 GB HDD
Samsung Combo Drive ODD

New PC :
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 GHz
4 GB DDR3 Ram
Nvidia Geforce GT240 1gb DDR3 graphics
Gigabyte G41-Combo Motherboard
Western Digital 1TB HDD
SONY DVD writer .

Please Tell me if i can combine these 2 PC into one to get Better Performance . If I can then Please tell me HOW ? ....

That would depend on what task u are trying to achieve? If rendering farm where additional machines function as "nodes" having a few machines run makes sense. Even so you'd want to have cheap multicores, etc for that ! Just salvage what u can for spare/back up parts from your old pc and sell the rest?

No. You can't combine them. The first one is worthless. You might could save the hard drive for extra storage.

The second one is decent as an internet browsing computer. Once again the best thing in it is the hard drive. Maybe the DVD burner.

You can't make a Ferrari out of two 1978 Ford Pintos can you? Or two 25" TVs into a 50" flatscreen. You get the idea. When you have junk and add more junk you just have a big pile of junk not better stuff. :vip:

What you are trying to do is clustering which would require new tools, both hardware as well as software, that might not be worth your time. Beowulf clustering is clustering method.

For instance Intel motherboard servers with dual or more sockets where the cpu are in a way in a cluster need to fulfill some demands, such as cpu that fit same socket, same TDP-value and they need to be able to cooperate wit two cpu, if the server is a dual-socket server. That means that you can't mix Xeon-E5-1000-series with E5-2600 or with E5-4600-series in with a motherboard that only supports E5-2600. It's just an example (sorry if it's bad).

I don't know if same principle goes for clustering individual motherboards.
