Hi there im planning on buying the Fractal Arc Midi R2, and ide like to get some neat case fans.

I have a few criteria;

They have to be SILENT
They have to push ALOT of air
And they have to be EASY to get ahold of, i was searching around and alot of people suggested Scythe fans, however there isnt a single website that seems to have them in stock!

I was looking at the Noctua fans, partially because i actually like the colour scheme (weird right?!) and because of their incredible positive reviews, (planning on the NH-D14 for cpu cooling)

But im not entirely sure as to which one to choose, (this is for exhaust and case, no cpu cooling)

The S12 seems to be better at pushing more air, but less positive pressure
The P12 is apparently useless for a case fan
The F12PWM is apparently the All-In-One fan, great for anything, with this fan being the recommended one, just infront of the S12 for case/exhaust applications.

I'de just like some help getting my head around all these fans!

Thanks!

No fan is silent.
You mean quiet.
The noise from a fan is largely determined by the rpm that it runs at, so using 140mm fans will maximize cooling with minimal noise.
Since your case comes with several fans, I suggest adding only a 140mm fan to the front.
This will give you a positive pressure case where all the intake air is filtered, keeping dust out of the case.
You really should not need any more, even for a high powered gaming rig.
A good place to research fans is www.silentpcreview.com .

Like i said, im not entirely sure as to where to buy the Gentle Typhoons, and i was just wondering which of the Noctua range to use for Inatake and for exhaust, theres 3 different models, all optimized for different things.

Yeah i meant quiet, but almost silent heh. However if you could tell me what fan to put in the intake and which one to put in the exhaust for the best performance, that would be ideal

thanks

You might want to see how the stock fans do before you spend big bucks on changing things out.
Really, any 140mm fan as added intake would do the job. I think you case has a fan controller, so just set the fans to your best balance between airflow and quiet. I would not bother with any added exit fans. You want more intake than exhaust so all air will be filtered.
The two front 140mm fans will provide all the airflow you need. And don't get too hung up on temperatures. Components can tolerate quite a high temperature before they will downclock to protect themselves.
