Suddenly slow boot

I installed Windows 8 on a brand new SSD a day or two after launch. I have Windows 8 Pro, Microsoft Office 2010, the Adobe suite (3?), and that's about it installed on my SSD. It's at 54.5/118 gigs used. I'm assuming my Windows Store apps default to install on this drive, too. My HDD has all my other programs, pictures, music, videos, etc.

In probably the last week or two, my cold boot times went from about 5-7 seconds to maybe 15+ seconds. This is still significantly faster than my wife's laptop. Opening Office/Adobe programs still seems to be about as fast as before which almost leads me to believe it was from Patch Tuesday. In the last two weeks or so, Microsoft has had a number of free games available in which I have downloaded maybe 7 new games (Modern apps).

What is the most likely culprit in this slow down? Did I reach a threshold of data used/free on the drive? Was there an Windows update that probably screwed this up? I'm one of the few people it seems that actually enjoys Windows 8 on a desktop and using modern apps mixed with legacy/desktop apps. This isn't putting a damper on it, but I did have a little bit of pride in never seeing the Windows 8 logo during start up- now I see it about as long as the rest of the process.

I have an AMD Phenom 9950 running stock.
Radeon 7750.
4 gigs of RAM.
I have my old school HDD (250 gig) and my new SSD (120 gig).

As I said before, the only changes that have been really made recently (since the slower boots) to the SSD are adding games and Windows updates. Weather has been changing a bit with it getting a bit warmer. I replaced a broken case fan (broken wire) this weekend so it should be back to the near overkill with 5 120 mm fans blowing air from front/bottom to back/top. Normally I never hear the fans really kick in unless I've been playing games for several hours on a weekend so I can't imagine thermals have anything to do with it.

Sorry but Tuesdays patch or update was recalled from Microsoft, uninstall them and you'll be fine. Check google for a news release about it
Hope that helps you.
