Hello guys, I am in the market to improve my gaming performance and I need your guys help to figure out a compatibility issue I'm having. My motherboard is this http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A88TM_LE/. Back in the day it was alright so don't hate on it to bad. But I am trying to figure out if I can run a Amd fx 6300 in there. On the site I don't see any mention to fx support and I can't even recall if fx was available when this motherboard was popular. So if you guys could help me figure out if I can get a FX 6300 or not it would be appreciated. And if not, whats my best option for a performance boost. My current CPU is the AMD Phenom II x6 1055t Black Edition and my GPU is a Amd HD 6990. So what do you guys think?

No, the motherboard is "outdated" compared to the CPU.
