Hello there, I'm pretty much new here and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on the components I've selected for my first PC build. As It's my first build I've only recently gained a little knowledge on the various bits of hardware and software I'll be needing. Heres my selection:

AMD Piledriver FX-8 Eight Core 8350 Black Edition 4.00GHz

Asus M5A99X Evo R2.0 Motherboard

Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 OC 2GB

Corsair 750W CX Builder Series 80PLUS Bronze PSU

WD Caviar Green 1TB SATA III 6GB/s Internal Hard Drive 3.5 inch

LG 24x SATA Bare Internal DVD Rewriter

Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 (2 4GB sticks)

CiT Jupiter Midi Tower Mesh Gaming Case

I have around £650 to spend and all of this has come to a total of 625, so It's at the top range of my budget. I've already ordered the CPU and ram. My friend built his own and reassured me that everything is compatible with one and other. But also recommended another drive.

I would just like a second opinion from a more experienced PC builder. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Well i just canceled the order as I only ordered an hour or so ago through Amazon, which take forever to dispatch anyways. If It was too much effort for you to give some other advice, then ok, thanks.

Did not mean to sound snippy.
At your budget, Intel i5 will usually be a better gaming cpu.
The 3570K and a Z77 based motherboard is as good as it gets.
It was a moot point if you had already ordered.
Corsair is a good psu brand, but a 7850 only needs a 450w psu.

The corsair ram has tall heat spreaders which are not needed. They can interfere with aftermarket coolers. Buy the low profile version which will be cheaper anyway.

stock cpu coolers can get noisy under load. Look for an inexpensive tower type cooler with a 120mm fan like the cm hyper212.

It's no problem, was kind of dumb of me to post with ordered parts anyways. The 3570k is an extra 30 quid which isn't too bad, considering It's better, but I've had an AMD system now for a while, which was pasted on to me by my uncle, and It has served me well. So looking to stick with them if i can. That's good as i thought the 7850 consumed a lot of power. Cool, so i can save some cash on the psu and ram, cheers.
