I have ordered some kingston ram and the ram does not work on my pc! I have tried checking the amazon website to see if i ordered the wrong item, but the picture is different to the product recieved

If possible, please tell me why does it not work?

Where I ordered the ram:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-KVR1333D3N9-8G-1333MHz/dp/B0069RXHF8/ref=sr_1_5?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1366048055&sr=1-5&keywords=Kingston+ddr3+8gb

The ram I recieved looks very similar to this:

Go to the manufacturer's page for your motherboard and find the RAM compatibility list. Check to see if your ram is in the list. If not, you may need to get different ram from the list. You can also try emailing the motherboard manufacturer to see if there is a BIOS update to allow your current ram to run, but there are no guarantees if your ram isn't in the list. It's something that is your responsibility to check prior to purchase.
