hello guys,
i have a dell optiplex gx280. currently i have window 7 on it.
My specs are:
RAM: 2.5GB
HARD DRIVE:40GB Western Digital
GRAPHICS CARD: ATI 5450 512MB DDR2
PROCESSOR: Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHZ

Window 7 works fine, but i was trying to install windows xp(because my computer runs a bit slow on window 7) on it and then blue screen of death occured.
It won't let me install Windows xp back on it. (Previously i had windows xp).

The error code is 0x0000008E

I would get Western Digital bootable disk with format utility and do low level format first, then install XP. How did you tried?
Edit: Win7 using 2 partitions to install, XP using one, you have to wipe your HDD clean, destroy all partitions first, then do clean install.
