Looking for help On DELL OPTIPLEX GX280 BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH WHEN INSTALLING WINDOWS XP

Window 7 works fine, but i was trying to install windows xp(because my computer runs a bit slow on window 7) on it and then blue screen of death occured.
It won't let me install Windows xp back on it. (Previously i had windows xp).

Google is your friend Try the ram seems like what everyone links that error to.

  2. I would get Western Digital bootable disk with format utility and do low level format first, then install XP. How did you tried?
Edit: Win7 using 2 partitions to install, XP using one, you have to wipe your HDD clean, destroy all partitions first, then do clean install.
