I am going to be getting a Macbook Pro soon, and I need some advice.
Should I get a non-retina macbook pro and upgrade it?
Or should I get one of the retina ones? If so the 13 or 15in?

Also is the 15in retina worth the money instead of getting one of the 13in ones?
Thanks and any advice will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

You might find some interesting reading here on the differences between them: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/macbook-pro-retina-display-faq/differences-between-macbook-pro-retina-display-13-inch-nonretina-macbook-air-2012.html
I don't know if the "ghosting" effect has been fixed on the retina models but these links discuss the problem many users have had with retina display models:

You haven't provided any information on what you plan to do with it.

The rMBP15 is cheaper and lighter than MBP15.
MBP15 has a DVD, Hi Res, doesn't need an Ethernet dongle, is compatible with previous magsafe, and runs cooler.
Both 15 have quad core and decent graphics.
rMBP13 is cheaper and lighter than 15.

Here's a chart. Pick the one with most stars in the features you want. As an example, if you're going to do real work look at speed. Travelling a lot, portability. Etc.
rMBP15

rMBP13
