I'm building a new gaming PC and am trying to decide which motherboard to get. I don't plan to do any overclocking, but I want to make sure I have something that will hold up for the next 5 years (hopefully). Which would be the best motherboard to get? Thanks!

If you don't plan on doing any overclocking, you would be just fine with a much less expensive H77 board. Something like this would work perfectly:

It has nearly all of the features of the Z77 minus the overclocking potential. Keep in mind though that socket 1155 is going to be done after the current Ivy Bridge line so your upgrade path will be limited no matter what board you go with.

One of the biggest tendencies in PC building is to overspend on the motherboard.

If you are not overclocking then get an ASrock H77M. If you still want a Z77 board get a Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H or the UD5H. No need to spend so much if you aren't going to use those features. Both those boards should be roughly the same but the Sabertooth comes with a, believe it or not, shield that traps heat.
