I'm going to use Windows Vista because i have an old Vista PC with a working key. i can't afford a new OS. i can barely afford this as is and it's only $439.56. so will i be able to do the things i wanna do on this computer? will i encounter any bottlenecks? is the PSU good enough? if anyone has any tips and pointers for this that will keep it below a maximum of $500 (i could push it to like $510 maybe if needed) then i'd appreciate it!

I'd change the motherboard to an Asrock H77 Pro 4/MVP (Biostar is kind of a sketchy manufacturer at best), change the case to an NZXT Source 210 or Corsair Carbide 200R, and that's about it. I'd also maybe look at changing that PSU to the Seasonic S12 II 430W.

That Windows key is married to that motherboard - if you try to transfer it over chances are good that you might not get it activated properly.

MS usually accepts it if you're just replacing an older motherboard and the old vista install is not used anymore.

however, I think you can get a stronger system than a pentium.
