Hi-I'm trying to put my acer aspire notebook hd (2.5"SATA-160 gb) running windows 7 starter into my dell vostro 1510 laptop but it's not working out well...all the display settings are a mess and I can't get into system tools....it's like the hd is confused.....HELP!

You cannot take the operating system from one computer and put it into another computer and expect it to work. You would need to format the hard drive and re-install the OS in order to use the hard drive in the other computer.
