£550 pc build for gaming

hey guys im planning on building this pc and i just wanted your opinions on the components will they work for gaming? do i need different parts? any advice and input is welcome thanks
motherboard-Asus M5A97 R2.0 AMD 970 AM3+ Motherboard Socket AM3+ £70

CPU- AMD FX-4100 Black Edition 4 Core 3.6GHz Socket AM3+ 95W CPU £70

graphics card- AMD ATI Radeon HD 7850 core edition 2gb £150

ram- corsair vengeance 8gb ddr3 1866 £50-60

case-corsair carbide 200r atx midi tower £50

power supply- XFX Core Edition PRO650W £70

hdd-Seagate ST2000DM001 Barracuda 2TB SATA3 6Gbps 7200RPM 64MB Cache £67

dvd rom drive- ASUS 24X DVD Burner £17

TOTAL £544

now i have been told to cut the cpu and replace for an amd fx-6300 or an intel i3220 but i think two cores isnt enough and 6 is maybe to much?

  1. thanks for your input seems like a good setup to me.Is the 7870 better than the 7850 also is it not worth spending an extra 20 pound on a 2tb hdd or is the western digital one better otherwise i think this is my new list
  2. If u need the storage go for it and ya a HD 7870 is a rung higher than a 7850 ^^
  3. get an A10-5800K then you can crossfire the integrated graphics with the GPU
