My system has suddenly been running into problems, so I wanted to run a check of the memory (I'm not confident it's a memory problem, as it's been stable as a rock since I built it -- probably a driver issue, but still worth checking). I downloaded UBCD and followed the instructions to make a bootable USB drive. I plugged it into my computer and confirmed that the BIOS recognizes it as a bootable drive. I set it to the top of the boot order and told it to boot from that drive. But every time, the cursor blinks for a second then it just moves onto booting from my hard drive. What am I doing wrong?
Unfortunately, I'd planned on running the memory test overnight, but it looks like I've spent the night tearing my hair out trying to get it to run :/ Any help would be appreciated.
