Hello everyone,

A few days ago I left my system on overnight, I woke up and it was shut off and I had thought that maybe it went into sleep mode, tried to wake it up and found it it was completely shut off, when trying to turn it on every fan spins for a split second except for the CPU fan then shuts off.

I attempted to remove all of the RAM and try a stick 1 by 1 to see if that could be the issue but that did not solve anything. I then attempted to remove my GPU card and that did not solve anything either. After those steps I removed the cpu/cooler and tried to install them into the Mobo again and that did not work, I also loosened the Mobo screws in case it was causing a short somewhere and that was not the issue either.

I have also attempted to clear the CMOS via hitting the clear CMOS button on the back of my MOBO and by removing the battery and holding the power button down and this has not solved the problem. I PSU seems to be ok as it is able to provide power and the start, reset buttons light up on the MOBO when I turn on the power switch on the back of the PSU and the fan on the PSU spins for a brief second too when I attempt to start the system.

Also I would like to add that on the Motherboard the Start/Reset buttons light up when there is power going to it but the LED panel to the right is not lighting up or showing any codes. I don't know if this is a sign of a bad MOBO or if the startup process is not getting far enough for any of those BOOT codes to cycle and show on the LED Panel.

At this point I believe it is a bad CPU or Maybe the MOBO and I am hoping someone here can help me out. My system specs are as follows:

Kingston Hyper X 3k 250GB SSD
500GB WD 7200rpm HD
EVGA Superclocked GTX 660ti
CoolerMaster HAF 932 Advanced Blue Edition Case
ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3 Motherboard
Corsair Enthusiast Series TX850 V2 PSU
Intel i5 2500k processor with the stock heatsink/fan

Once again I appreciate any help or guidance towards the right direction.
