I don't even have a graphics card in my pc previously. The game i played all run on my intel chipset. So I buy a new one, it's an old model though, ATI Radeon HD 5450. This is first time i install a graphics card and (yeah, i'm a noob) i install it quite harshly.

After then my monitor doesnt even turn on. I can hear the fan is spinning, but it just won't turn on my monitor. I uninstall the graphics card and my pc just turn on normally.

I couldnt confirm if i break my graphics card. I have tried many times but it still doesnt fix the problem. I can't figure out what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

Pc specs:
core2duo 3ghz
4gb ram
window vista
psu 450W

Did you plug the monitor cable into the 5450? Go to the north bridge section of your bios and make sure pcie is selected for video.

u're right dude, i'm so stupid. I plug the monitor cable into the previous built-in slot. now i plug it into the 5450 slot and it works, turn on the computer and install the driver and all works fine. Thanks

Simple mistake. I see people on here do the same thing all the time. Glad it was an easy fix for you.
