Hello,

I'm piecing together a system for my 8 year old. He uses the computer 90% for playing minecraft (a java based program) and the rest playing flash based web games.

So, I have a triple core AMD machine that's not great, but, for his purposes, should be fine. It's a compaq CQ5320F. The integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE
Also supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards.

I have 3GB DDR3 memory. I am not sure how the memory is shared between graphics etc.

I have two graphics cards at the moment.

1. An ATI all in wonder HD
2. The second card is an ATI and it aggravatingly is missing the label on the back that identifies it. If need be, I'll probably install it and then identify it with something like GPU-Z.

Here are pictures for what it's worth

Now that I'm looking closer at it, this second card won't even fit in this machine I don't think.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

1. For what he uses the computer for, is dedicated graphics (of my two options) better than the integrated?

2. Which of the two cards would you choose? (I think I already answered this as I think the all-in-wonder HD is the only one I can use)

Thanks AS ALWAYS in advance. Love this forum.

You will have to go with the first card because the second card doesn't use PCIe nor does it look like PCI. The available slots on your mother board are.
Slot 1 - PCIe x16 (version 1.0)
Slot 2 - PCIe x1
Slot 3 - PCIe x1
Slot 4 - PCI

The second card looks like it's an AGP interface card.
