Is the motherboard compatible with the power supply?

Solution
Yes! The Rosewill LIGHTNING-1300 is 100% compatble with the ASUS Maximus V EXTREME LGA 1155
May I know why you need 1300 watts?
Thanks

Well then that PSU is Overkill.
You will be fine with a quality PSU like this:
XFX PRO850W XXX Edition Semi-Modular 80 Plus Silver Certified 850 Watt Active PFC Power Supply

Solution
As you can see by my sig I have a similar build and when you start adding water cooling then you are adding extra parts that need power. I went with the Seasonic 1250w since my total power draw is around 900w, it's always better to have too much then not enough.

Seasonic X-1250 1250W is 90% Efficient PSU, One of the finest when money is no object :)
Your draw is 900W so your consumption is just about 810W that gives you enough room for 3 way SLI

Im running a 670FTW with 195W TDP on a Seasonic s12 620W
My draw on full load is just about 300W
So given its 85% my consumption is 255W
That should allow me a 2Way SLI I suppose down the road :)
Which I might do sometimes soon depends on a new 144Hz purchase
