So, I am going to be building a new computer in about 2 months and I just wanted to know if it could run FSX extremely well with a whole variety of high quality add-ons, as this computer is mainly for FSX, and also if it could run other games very smoothly
(This build is pretty expensive but it fits my budget very nicely)
The Build:
PROCESSOR: i7-3960x Extreme 6 core @ 3.33GHz
CPU COOLER: Corsair H100

MEMORY: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

MOTHERBOARD: Asus P9X79 LE ATX LGA2011 Motherboard

STORAGE: Curcial M4 64GB SSD (FSX)
-Crucial M4 120GB SSD (OS)
Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 7200RPM Hard Drive (Other Files)

VIDEO CARD: EVGA GeForce GTX 680 4GB Video Card

POWER SUPPLY: SeaSonic X Series 850W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

OPERATING SYSTEM: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

OPTICAL DRIVE: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer

CASE: Cooler Master HAF XM (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

So, yea I just wanted some comments on this.

-Thanks!

Save some money and get a i5 3570k, hyper threading will not help any games you run.

2133 ddr3 is pointless your processor will run it at a lower speed anyway unless you overclock the memory controller get some cheaper 1866 memory.

get a 256GB samsung 840 they are reasonably priced, especially with the money saved from the i7 and they are far better than the crucial drives.

an 850watt psu is pointless unless your going multi gpu at a later date, a 560 - 650watt psu will do just make sure it has enought connectors for your gpu, they should do on any new one.

you get get an LG super multi blu drive for cheap now, read and burn blurays if you would like to watch blurays on the pc.

besides that everything else is all good, for the money i would get a 7970 myself but that's just personal preference

Flight simulator x should run fine, if you would like take a look at flightgear, its an opensource flight simulator with a 64bit executable and it runs nicely.
