http://www.hwcompare.com/12508/geforce-gtx-670-vs-radeon-hd-7970/ The 7970 is better than the 670, but there is also a price difference of almost $80 between the 2 making the 670 cheaper. I'm personally still waiting for the 8000 series. Idk if buying one of those is better than trying to buy 2 7970's.

Well my budget is £280 in pounds ;D so I don't see a way I could fit 2*7970 there

I was just saying that for me hoping someone might pick that up as well as answer your question. Like I said though technically the 7970 is better. That website I linked is also very helpful.

I was just saying that for me hoping someone might pick that up as well as answer your question. Like I said though technically the 7970 is better. That website I linked is also very helpful.

None to my knowledge. The only Nvidia Card to my knowledge that beats out the 7970 is the 690, but that is like 650 pounds. The 7970 shouldn't be too far out of your budget maybe like 10-20 pounds out of it. The 7950 is cheaper, but the 7970 is better. The price difference to me reflects the power difference in the cards which is about 15-20% better.

The 2 cards for BF3 only have about a 12 FPS difference, but that 12 FPS could mean a lot if the top is only at 50 FPS and the other is at 38.

Should be perfectly fine. I've seen people prefer the Sapphire one, but I'm not sure if it is brand or if they have a reason.
