First i'll list specs:
FX-6300
Sapphire Radeon 7770 vapor-x
WD Caviar Blue 7200 1TB
8 gb's of store brand ram from microcenter

So I come back from school to find my computer in a green screen, so I figured it was nothing so I just reset it.

It then went into a green screen immediately, so I figured it might've been my avermedia capture card, so instead of having my video card passing through my capture card to my tv, I just bypassed the capture card, and went straight into the tv with my hdmi cable.

So I reboot again, and this time my computer says attempting to repair problems, but ultimately it wasn't able to. so then I click okay and it shuts off, and I turn it on again.

It goes all the way to "Starting windows" and I'm like finally, but then it's just a green screen. And no more progress has been made.

Do you guys have any insight as to what is wrong or what I can do?

I just got guild wars 2 yesterday and I really want to play it. :c

EDIT: Also, my computer makes the little chime that it normally does when it goes into my log in screen, but I just see a green screen, if that means anything.

EDIT 2: So I went into safe mode, uninstalled my video card, and rebooted. My computer would go into windows normally, except with a green tint, and everything zoomed in because there were no drivers. I reinstalled amd catalyst and then my computer rebooted, but then I was back to the same problem with if I don't go into safe mode, it's just a completely green screen.

i'm pretty sure it's not my monitor or cable, as it works fine at all points before the log in screen, even in the bios.

I've also just tried booting it up in safe mode, and it works, but there is a green tint on the screen?

Do you auto update the graphics driver?

Maybe try safe mode, uninstall the graphics driver, and reboot.

edit:
Oh, and if you have a green tint to the screen, then the cable may not be seated correctly. Poorly seated cables tend to result in odd colours, although generally only a wash, rather than a "cant see nothing but a sea of green".

How do you uninstall drivers in safe mode? I just tried, and it says it inaccesible in safe mode. :c
Also yeah, if I don't run it in safe mode which gives it a green tint, I do get a completely green screen.

and it's weird, because it works fine in bios and when it says loading windows or whatever.

Okay, nvm I actually did find out how to do it. I uninstalled them, rebooted, and I log in normally, but as soon as I do log in, it again turns into a green tinted screen. I also tried reinstalling the drivers, but that just brought me back to only seeing green at the log in screen.

Maybe the socket on the GFX card is naffed. A bent pin in the cable perhaps? Does your monitor (TV?) have a different HDMI port to try? Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

edit:
Just a way out there thought. Maybe you have a colour profile which is overemphasing the green and removing the blue and red. Seems bizzare, but possible. Could try checking in Safe Mode again. I'm not sure if the driver saves a colour profile file anywhere that could be deleted.
