I built this computer in 2011 from parts ordered at Newegg.

Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz

Graphics Card: XFX HD-697A Radeon HD 6970 2GB

OS: Windows 7 64-bit SP1

Motherboard: ASUS P8P67 Deluxe (REV 3.0)

Ram: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB 4x4 240-pin DDR3 Model F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL

Power Supply: OCZ ZX series 850W

Display: ASUS VK278Q connected through HDMI Resolution 1920x1080

Driver: Catalyst version 13.3 beta, upgraded today from 13.1 to see if that would have any results

Basically at any point in time the monitor will go black and say that it is receiving no signal, then the video card fan ramps up to what seems to be 100%. The funny thing is that sound is still working and it seems the computer is running fine, except for the video. The frequency of this event has been steadily increasing over the past month. Any ideas?
