Best graphics card for under $250?

Going to be trying to play skyrim at high/ultra with alot of mods.at or above 45 fps.
Any gpu that can do that for 250 or less or am I wrong?
Was going to get a
Sapphire 7870 xt
Power color 7870 myst
But they are out of stock :/
Would they even be able to max
Skyrim like I want? Should I just wait for a restock on them?
I currently have a i5 3350p and a xfx 550W 80+ PSU along with a msi z77a g43 motherboard and a coolermaster haf 912

SKyrim is heavily cpu dependant.

7770 could play it tbh.

Yes but could the 7770 max it? Also is my CPU enough to handle it?
I could get a i5 3470 instead is it better?

Ha lol that was the first card I looked at to buy! I always prefer nvidia but the 7870 xt looked to good a deal to miss.
So would there be a obvious performance drop if I got the gtx 660 instead? Or is the performance change only minor?

No I havent gotten mine yet, have you? I'm thinking about waiting until the next gen gpu comes out because i actually dont need the upgrade now. I just need the upgrade for BF4 and AMD is going to bundle it with the next gen 8000 cards so i figured I might wait it out.

If you like Nvidia then just go with the GTX660. There's hardly a performance difference between those 2 cards. Personally I'll always choose an Nvidia card as I think they are superior for more reasons than one.
