Which would be better and least likely to fail or fry any components?

I can get either for the same price at micro center. I know corsair is known as a top tier PSU brand, but I have heard mixed things about to CX series. And I know EVGA makes good graphics cards, but I haven't heard anything about their PSU's.

I would not use the CX series for any multiple graphics card setup that needs 750 watts. You do have 2 x GTX 670s or 2 x HD 7970s to actually need 750 watts right? I would not pick either unit. The EVGA has high ripple and poor regulation for the price and the CX uses cheap capacitors. What is your budget and your system specs?

It isn't a dual graphics card setup. The reason I'm looking at a higher wattage than I probably need is because I want to have enough headroom in the future if I do want to do a sli or crossfire setup. My budget for a PSU is about $90 or less and preferably one they carry at micro center because there is one near where I live where I will probably buy all the parts.

Sorry if I seem noobish, this is my first build.

You only need 600 watts for dual GTX 660s.

Here are 3 excellent choices. The Seasonic and the PC Power and Cooling are the same unit internally. Both are made by Seasonic and both are modular. At $10 cheaper go with the PC Power and Cooling unless you don't like the color.

This unit is also very good and moves you up to 80 Plus Gold efficiency. It's not quite as good as a Seasonic built unit but is still very good. I would own one. The other units being modular gives them an edge for me. The 80 Plus Gold will only save you a few dollars a year more than 80 Plus Bronze.

Your build looks good too by the way. The Antec HCG series are excellent. The HCG 750 is made by Delta and they are among the better manufacturers. Very close to Seasonic in my opinion.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. I think I'll go with the PC power and cooling because I have heard a lot of good things about them.

Seasonic made ( PC Power and Cooling ) vs Delta ( Antec ) made. Personally I would go with a Seasonic made unit every time. No one really equals them in quality right now. Delta is still quite good though.

Did you see the link I posted to the power supply requirements? 750 watts is for dual high end cards.

Yes I saw the link. One big thing for me though is reliability, so if the antec was more reliable I would have gotten it. But I think I'll think I'll stick with PC power and cooling, thanks!
