I just bought and installed a new graphics card and psu to my computer. The gpu is an evga gtx 650, and the psu a corsair cx500. When I start the computer, the lights come on and the fan runs, but the screen remains blank. I also hear no beeps and can't access the BIOS menu. When I removed the card, the computer booted fine. Help?

Yes, I used a 6 pin plug that came directly from the psu, versus the 6 pin that had the two four pin connecters or whatever on the other end.

The screen is blank but the computer might have booted up successfully. I had a similar problem where the fans were running but the screen was blank. Turns out my power supply couldn't handle everything, so i unplugged some stuff and it booted fine. Thing is...500 should be enough if your just running one graphics card. My only advice would be to unplug the cd/dvd drive from the power supply with the video card installed and see if it works.

There is no option in my bios to change the display settings, but there is an option that says "power on by pcie devices" and its disabled. Do I enable it?

I'm about to throw my computer lol. The mobo I have, an ipisb-vr, says Acer on the actually board, but the program you gave me said it's manufactured by Gateway. Either way there isn't any official link for the mobo, neither Gateway nor Acer has it listed on their websites. I don't know what to do now. I'm considering just buying a new gpu, but I don't really want to resort to that quite yet. I hate that something as simple as installing a new card is being this difficult. And I'm not really in the mood to buy a new mobo.

Manufacturer Gateway
Model IPISB-VR (CPU 1)
This is what shows up in Piriform. I can only find limited specs on the mobo, and there is no available manual. I went to Gateway's website and searched that model, but no result were found. So, I pretty much have no updates or anything for the motherboard.

Possibly. Another thing I considered doing is exchanging the graphics card for the same thing, in case the card was defective or fried. Unless you don't think that's the problem?
