So my dad decided to take test his new SLI set up in my PC before his own PC, and when he was done with it, he returned my single GTX 580 to my PC, and everything was working fine, until I saw that my computer kept recognizing then not recognizing my sound, and eventually I lost all sound all together. I have a Corsair sound system set up which plugs into a jack in the back of my PC, and no sound will come out of it. My headphones which use the audio jacks in the front also produce no sound, however headphones that use the USB do have sound just fine. This was a couple months ago, and still no sound, we have tried everything short of restarting my PC from scratch (something I do NOT want to do) and still no sound if it is plugged into the jack, only the USB. Does anyone have any ideas? This stems from his running his GTX 570s in SLI on my computer, but we have made sure all the drivers were up to date, we have re installed the sound software, we have done everything we can think of. I would love for it to be some simple fix so I can finally hear sound out of my desktop speakers again and not my headphones.
Thank you!
