if you got an FM1/FM2 socket PC, and you're using it's integrated graphics, you could buy faster RAM. it doesn't so much improves video memory, but you do see a performance gain.

if you're thinking of getting better GPU performance without having to spend a dime, the simple answer is; nope.
 
if you're aiming (hoping) to improve gaming performance by adding more gpu memory, then note that it does not have that much impact compared to core/mem clocks.

even if your gpu is 8gb, but it is let's say gt640 or something similar, then it will still be slow. It's like a bus with lot's of seat but a slow engine.
