Summary: Using computer, playing Crysis 3 - then the computer crashed (mostly my 7970 graphic card crashes). Could not reboot the computer. Took the entire computer apart to just boot with the PSU, MOBO, and CPU - the z77 Extreme4 MOBO will not start with the i5-3570k (or is it 3470k?) (it has the LED 'Dr. Debugger' that normally lights up). I was not OC'ing any components, and it has worked just fine for over a week.

I replugged everything, and made sure the CPU fan, the CPU, and MOBO were all properly powered (when I plug in the computer my LAN card does light up, so I know power is going in).

Thanks!

Hi, if your Gpu had been crashing your system prior to this might that be the problem. Have you ever monitored you GPU temperatures to see if your GPU crashes were heat related? Do you have another card you can try? It appears that your motherboard and you processor both support on board graphics so try the VGA route first and if you can get to bios or desktop using the on-board VGA then you've narrowed it down to your video card.

I do not have any spare parts I can try. I understand that there are issues with my GPU - but, shouldn't my MOBO boot with just the CPU, CPU fan, and PSU? All the parts are new, and I've been using the computer for over a solid week with minimal issues (the GPU 7970 only crashes on Crysis 3).

As I mentioned before, when I plug in the computer (PSU), the lights on my LAN card light up, and also stay lit when I plug in my LAN card. Because my LED 'Dr Debugger' does not light up, or 'turn' on - I cannot get any graphics coming out. This means my BIOS isn't starting, or my MOBO isn't POSTing?
