So I was wondering how much performance (FPS) difference there would be between a 670 FTW compared to a stock GTX 670 (both EVGA). There is a GTX 670 FTW for $420 and then the regular one is $390. What difference will I see playing on 1920x1080 ?

Also will someone tell me which card is better:

They are normally the same price but the second one has better clock speeds so why are they both $420?

I see one of them for $420 and one of them for $400. The only difference between them is the cooler - and choosing that depends on airflow. (I actually picked the EVGA 670 FTW with the blower-style cooler, as I've got an mini-ITX case, and exhausting heat out the back ends up being way better than cooling the card a bit better but heating up the enclosure much more.)

That being said, the FTW or FTW Signature 2 (AVOID the FTW + or FTW LE editions) are both going to be a decent bit better than a normal 670 - certainly worth the $30. The reason for this is that they're built on a GTX 680 PCB, as opposed to a 670 PCB, and have pretty good factory overclocks right out of the gate.

The FTW is called the FTW because EVGA uses/choses for higher binned chips - Better overclocking because its a better silicone.
You wont get better FPS at 1080p, It would be the same unless you overclocked it - Hence the better silicone to higher overclocks. It uses a different PCB than the normal 670 and you can overclock it easier so to speak. I would buy the FTW so you could get the better overclocks If I had to chose between the FTW and stock. I would personally go with the asus 670 factory overclocked because it has a direct cu II fan which is very quiet and cool.

Is the blower loud at all? I'm debating between the 670 ftw and 670 ftw sig 2. I think I'd prefer to exhaust out of the case but I worry that the blower would get a bit loud on load and wouldn't cool as well as the sig 2. I also experienced 2 fans going out on my twin frozr 2 and haven't had issues with blower reference coolers before. Is the sig 2 worth it for generally better cooling? I have faith in EVGA cs so if a fan went out I know it would be a painless rma. I dont know. Any other real benefits of the blower over sig 2?

It depends on your case situation. I have a mini-ITX case; for me, the blower style cooler is actually a better cooler than the signature 2, because it sucks air in through the holes in the side panel and blows hot air out the back rather than just recirculating the air in the case and making it hotter.

That being said, if you have a large case, the increase in temperatures isn't going to be as noticeable, thus making the signature 2 a better option as it'll cool the GPU a bit better. As for noise, the FTW isn't a reference design, so it's actually quite quiet for a blower-style cooler; I don't really notice it in particular over the airflow of the four other fans in my case, though I imagine I will in a week once I get my watercooling parts.

Only thing I'd look at is that I'm not positive if the signature 2 still uses the 680 PCB. If it does, you're fine; if it doesn't, get the blower style.

Great thanks for the advice. Thinking i will be ordering the FTW Sig2 if it is in fact still using the 680 pcb.

Sounds good to me! I personally am a bit envious, as I think it's a much better looking cooler - though I wouldn't want it in my rig until I watercooled it... and then it's a moot point.
