How's my Budget Gaming Setup?

I am planning on building a budget gaming setup and I've come up with a list of parts. Any constructive criticism would be appreciated. Here's my list:

-CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 640 3.0GHz Quad-Core Processor

-Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard

-Memory: Corsair XMS3 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

-Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

-Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 2GB Video Card

-Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case

-PSU: Corsair Builder 500W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V Power Supply

Anything about compatibility and examples of in-game performance with these parts would be great. Thanks! :)

Anywhere in the 400's to the low (and maybe mid) 600's, and that's without a monitor, mouse, keyboard, and other accessories.

I'm planning on using pcpartpicker (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/QJaM) to find the parts. But if you know of any better places to find parts please let me know.

If you use the GTX 660 (look at my signature, it's what I use :) ), you can get decent FPS depending on your settings. Crysis 3 at max...probably not too high (I haven't had a chance to try yet). Playing Metro 2033 on the second highest setting, I can get 20-50FPS depending how "active" the screen is. On most games I can get about 60FPS playing on max --> almost max.

I would recommend overclocking the HD 7850. It can easily hit 1GHz.

The performance isn't too different. I think I should stick with the 7850 like you said to stay close to my budget.
Would the AMD FX-4300 cause any significant bottle-necking with the 7850?

The CPU and GPU should work well together and both overclock well. Best of all, the HD 7850 includes BioShock Infinite, Crysis 3, and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon whereas the GTX 660 currently has no active promos.


Also, this bundle at Newegg enables you to pickup the CORSAIR CX500 + Corsair Carbide Series 300R for only $105 which makes the CX500 only $5 more than the CX430
