I'm right in the middle of assembling a pc when I bought a new psu, now the pc didn't boot up at first, but after unplugging and replugging all the cords it worked! I then turn the pc off and assembled it back into the case, I turned the pc on and it won't work again! I tested the psu and it's alive and can power my dvd drive, hard drive, but when I plug the 24 bit connector it won't work!

Ok so if I read this correctly, it sounds like you took the mobo out of the case it worked...but then you put it back in and it did not work correct?

If this is the case make sure you installed all of the standoffs for the motherboard in the case. I have found that missing even one standoff can cause your computer to not boot.

Sorry, I should have worded this better, I took the psu out of the case and everything worked fine when it was out, then I put the psu back in and the pc fails to boot.

http://Well I grounded the green cable in the psu 24 pin socket to a black cable in the same socket with a paper clip and viola! The pc works! But sadly only as long as the pc green cable is being manually grounded, I'm pretty sure though this isn't supposed to happen.

P.S. The Link above isn't my PC, but that is exactly what I have to do to turn my pc on. Should I rma my motherboard?

I know for sure it's not the PSU, it's the 24 pin connector on my motherboard! I tried 2 different psus and both require the paper clip trick to turn the pc on!

Now with that said should I rma the board?

Well yet another thing had turned up! I shorted the two small pw pins and viola the pc works! But everytime I plug my pw cable to the pw pin and it won't work, I have the rosewill challenger, should I return it?
