I just want any suggestions of the specs im getting, i dont want to rn into problems. i read a few things that could happen but most of the reviews are really good.

Here are the specs!!!!
*Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
*Asus SABERTOOTH Z77
*Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
*Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
*Seagate Constellation ES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
*Asus GeForce GTX 680 2GB Video Card
*Cooler Master Silent Pro M 1000W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

Im gonna do some serious gaming like some insane gameing lol. ill upgrade my ram in the future when i have more cash!

Here is a link the a product page for the 680 GPU (the GPU is really the only thing you need to worry about as far as power requirements). If you go down to "thermal and power specs," you see that the MINIMUM PSU for it is 550W. I like to give a little extra just incase which is why I recommended a 650W. So, as you can see, 1000W is WAYYY overkill.

You do, however, want to buy a quality PSU. Here is a link for a good tiered list of PSU's.

What are you building the PC for?

If its for gaming than the i7 and the 16gb are overkill for your system. I'd recommend going with the i5-3570k and just 8gb of RAM. Also if its just for gaming the 680 only gives you about 5% more performance for more than 25% more price.

The last thing is do plan to install two graphics cards (SLI) in the future? If not you can bring your PSU WAAAYYY down to about 650W.

However, if you want the tad extra performance and extra power (that really wouldnt do anything) that looks like a good system. In the end its your money, spend it how you want to.

Whooops sorry i didnt mean to put that. Meant to reply on a different site! Im gonna play some crazy games, so ya my pc is gonna be just fo rgames. Im still learning and reading articles, but I like your suggestions :D i want to overkill but its my first build....maybe i should go all out until i see how things work lol

*phew* thats good to know that thier compatiable incase i decide to do this build. Hmmmmm im a overkill person ;) i love to have that extra power just incase. i read a article that someone had problems with there components and the solution was to get a bigger PSU so i just wanted to be safe

Oh Wow that site is really helpful, i skimmed a little and i saw the minimum is 550! that saves me quite a bit of cash :D i have the cash but its better to get just what i need. Stupid question because this will be my first build, if i had the overkill PSU, can it short circuit or fried the componets because its too much power???
