I have a simple need that I have been having difficulty finding - I have an NZXT case that I would like to swap out some fans with LED fans, and hook up the LEDs to the switch that controls the rear panel lights so I can turn all of my LEDs on and off with a single button press. This unfortunately means I have 4 female connectors and only one male (the male connector being the one going to the switch). Does anyone know where I can find 2-pin cable splitters? Or am I going to have to splice/modify fan splitters?

What kind of fans are you using? Most LED fans have the LED's wired into the same power that the fan itself is connected to. In order to operate the LED's separately from the fan you will need to rewire the LED's to get their power on a different wire. I don't recommend doing that unless you know what you are doing. Do you know how to read an electrical schematic?

The fans I have have separate LED leads. Specifically these: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146033

From what I can tell, the LEDs still draw power from the fan connection, but the LED wire allows it to control the LED circuit and thus allow you to power them on or off.

I do understand electrical schematics, but I was hoping to avoid splicing wires, redoing connectors, etc. As my need is far from unique, I thought simple little 2-pins splitters would exist. My Googling prowess is not inept, but the closest I've found is boards that draw directly from the mobo leads and would still take custom wiring to be able to velcro a plastic board in my chassis... I would rather keep it as a few wires as my setup is far to basic to need junk like that. Still hoping someone came across 2-pin Y cables before.

if you look closely there is a 3 wire that goes to the board and the other are made to be plug in the fan switch tha came with the fan you plug this wire to the back light switch it should work the other thing you need is something like this but it made in 3 pins only http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812226070 also follow the cable color on the wire you should not have issue to plug the led .
