SSD missing spaces?

I recently acquired a free 30 GB SSD, and nearly have of the space is missing.
All of the files on the SSD equal to 14.1 GB, while I have 6 GB of free space. I am trying to figure out where the other 9 GB went. Any help would be appreciative.

Its says I have 29.85GB, I dont think they would cheap me out of 10 GB!

true, is there anything important on the ssd? I was thinking if you can format it and see if that changes anything.
