2gb ram
intel G41 chipset motherboard

300w psu

I want to buy a Nvidia GeForce GT630, Can I run it safely with above system?

If you look here : http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-630/specifications

It says, minimum power supply : 300W. So i guess it will get the job done. If there's not enough power at the first boot, go and buy a 400-450w psu.

If it's a decent PSU, yes, you should be fine.
