Hi everyone. I am new here and need some advice. Ive been playing games on consoles for as long as I can remember. However, everytime I see PC footage of the gameplay, it looks so much better. I want to buy a prebuilt gaming rig or all the components (CPU, RAM, MOBO, etc.) whichever is cheaper. My question is can anyone please recommend a prebuilt pc or some Mobo, graphic card, ram, cpu combos that will run Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and some newer games that has yet to be released? Thank You all for taking time and helping me. I can work with about 600 - 800 dollars. Or is it worth upgrading my system I have now? (I think my current PC is on the weak side haha). Here is the specs to my current system.

AMD Phenom II X3 705e Processor
4 GB DDR2 Ram
Nvidia Geforce 210 512 mb
Biostar Mobo old geforce 8100 chipset (CRAP I KNOW)

Thanks for your response. That CPU is Dual Core? I thought maybe a multi core would be a littler better? It there something special about that CPU. Sorry for being a noob.

Yes but I meant maybe like a Quad Core? Is that Dual Core Comparable or better than some AMD Quad Cores? As for the PSU I already have an ANTEC 520W. I guess that PSU is good enough.

These are a mess. Why would you ever pair an APU with a strong GPU. These should be changed to fx-6300. APUs are built for low budget systems with no dedicated graphics card. They will bottleneck high end GPUs.

BF games are very CPU intensive. The AUP's above will not do. Its a 4-core use game. The i5 is king here. The 7870xt will also have no problem with max settings. This is the system to get.

Ahhh I see CPU and GPU together on one die. So Intel is definitely the way to go for best performance huh? And the build you recommended seems very good. The CD/DVD drive is not necessary I have a sata DVD Drive already. Do you think a SSD would be better or I wont really see a difference with that 1TB drive?

In gaming? No difference at all. Load screens will be faster when playing offline, computer will boot up faster, programs will launch a bit faster. But, no, no gaming performance increase at all from an SSD.

For a game like BF3 yes, an i5 is the way to go for sure. I don't know what that other guy was trying to do. Those CPU's are meant for very low budget builds with no dedicated graphics card at all. They would struggle HARD with BF3.

Ok thanks. I appreciate your help. I definitely will buy these parts this weekend. One last question, is the 550W PSU necessary for this build? I already have a 520W ANTEC

Hey. One more question. I was talking to my friend and showed him the build you suggested. He said it was fine but he suggested to save a little more money, I could maybe go with a top line AMD board and CPU. What do you think? Will it be a huge performance drop from using intel. If not what AMD build would you recommend (if you do recommend a AMD build for gaming)?
