I will be getting an asus maximus v formula board that comes with the wifi chip and antenna and was wondering if it will perform better than this netowkr adapter. TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 Dual Band Wireless N900 PCI Express Adapter, 2.4GHz 450Mbps/5GHz 450Mbps, IEEE 802.1a/b/g/n, WEP/WPA/WPA2

And if i will be doing serious gaming and want possibly reliable connection, is the asus maximus v formula wifi chip stable?

If not i can always just get my router closer but i was wondering about network adapters

The one that comes with the board is just fine and depending how far you are away from your router would be the issue (are you going through 20 walls?)don't waste money right away on things you wont need. Test it out first if you find its unsatisfactory upgrade it.
