So here are my specs:
CPU : Intel i3 530 (stock)
GPU : ASUS radeon HD 7770(stock)
Driver : Catalyst 13.2 beta 7
RAM : simmtronics 6 GB (4+2) 1333mhz
hard disk : 500GB Seagate ( regularly defragmented)
PSU : Zebronics 400 watts
Minitor : Samsung sync master 1600X900
So earlier when I had witcher 2 enhanced edition then I could play it on medium settings with 35- 45 frames with occasional drop to 25 at some location for milliseconds but my files had some problem so I installed witcher 2 (normal) from my friend's disc. Now my game become horrible and I could play it on low with 20-30 frames with hardly reaching 30. Medium to ultra gives me same 15-25 frames.
Okay now coming to saints row 3. When I started playing it,I set settings on ultra and that gave me 30-35 frames, and turning AA and AF to 2x gave me 40-45 frames but after completing two missions when I gained access to city and crib I hardly get 35 frames when I'm out on street and 40-60 frames inside house. But ofcourse most of the time I'm on street and driving is like nightmare with horrible lag. I tried lowering my settings but no gain in fps I even lowered my resolution to 720p still no gain but it indeed increased 5 frames when I'm driving. So where's the problem even lowering doesn't help.
I thought 7770 is a decent card but I'm highly disappointed with its performance.
I've played mafia 2 on high with 50-55 fps , starceaft 2 with 60-70 fps and dirt with 60 fps but these two games are making me think about 7770s performance. Can't I play modern games with this gpu with decent frames?
And yes I also want to share problem with assassins creed. I used to get 50-60 frames on ultra when I started playing it but as I reached Boston my frames dropped to 25 in city and that's ridiculous.
Is my GPU just crap? please help me
