Hi,
I bought a TP Link TL-WR743ND to act as an access point to extend the range of a wireless network. I planned to connect it back to the main router using a pair of ethernet over the power line plugs. I have done this many times, just not using this particular AP. The AP is designed for WISP connections but it does say it will act as a normal AP.
In order to boost the signal all options want it to connect back to the main network wirelessly. When I try and get it to connect via the powerline the wireless component does not work. Is it simply because this is a WISP AP? Am I going to need to get something else?
The AP is too far away from the router to pick up the signal and I cannot move the router or AP any closer together.
Apologies if I have confused.
Any ideas?
Kevin
