My current build is in my signature.

I'm here to ask you guys what you think the causes to my computer crashes could be.

My Ram's default clock is 1333 that I have clocked at 1600 (it's advertised clock speed)
My CPU's default clock is 3.4 that I have clocked at 4.2 (I have a Coolmaster pro 212 heat sink)

The CPU and Mobo temperatures don't exceed 65 degrees celcius. It seems to run prime 95 fine for 30 mins. But when I go to sleep and wake up in the morning the PC is shut down.

I'm currently going to run it at stock clocks with all my mobo settings reset and then begin to slowly overclock.

Let me know what you guys think the problem could be. I've had no issues with the computer other than running lucid MVP pro (which I think could be a motherboard issue - and yes I tested it with SLI disabled).

Also I'd like to note that when I run Prime95 I set it to custom and set the memory in use to around 15.5gigs (out of 16)

I've been reading up on cpu overclocks for my system all morning and I think I've been doing it all wrong.

I havn't overclocked a system like this before so I'm very new to it. Only thing I changed was the multiplier to 4.2 and left everything else on auto.

When I get home I'm going to start experimenting with different voltages (obviously not too high) and see what it can do.

I've been using a couple forums/videos as guides and I plan to use this video as my primary guide (using a lower clock speed/voltage)

If you have and advice or recommendations for overclocking my build please let me know.
