Games crashing on XFX Radeon 7950

Specs:
Motherboard - Asus sabertooth 990fx am3+
CPU - amd bulldozer fx-8129 @ 3.882GHz (OC'ed)
PSU - Antec ax 1200
Ram - Corsair Vengence 16GB @ 1666 (OC'ed)
GPU - Radeon HD XFX 7950 DD 3GB (Factory clock)

When I Run StarCraft II or Crysis 3 I get about 20 mins of gameplay and they game either hangs and crashes or just crashes to the desktop. My temps are all fine. Voltages look good. etc. I can run Farcry 3 and Bioshock Infinite on max setting with no problem.

Thanks for any advice.

I have the same GPU as you.

Thats interesting because i can run Crysis 3 fine but can't get more than 7mins of play on Bioshock Infinite.

I have STII but havent play it yet.

I found a lot of my problems came from my Vengance RAM. Try dropping the overclock off it first. then try with only one stick. 8GBs is easily enough for ny game so i wont effect yuo performance wise. But it might be whats causing the errors.

    Hope this helps.
  2. Thanks, I'll give it a try.

also, do you use the Amd control centre?

only to manage my eyefinity setup.

I use MSI afterburner for a custom fan profile and overclocking. Although im not overclocking until i have put in my watercooling system im designing atm.
  4. I dropped the OC of my ram and it seems to have done the trick. Hasn't crashed at all. Turned all my graphics settings back up to max and it's still running fine. Thanks for the help dude, good luck with your rig XD

in the bios, depending what motherboard you have, there should be an option to set the clock to what you want, or just back to default.
