I plan on having a multi-monitor setup and can't decide on which GPU would be better, I will be buying a second card in the future as well. I mostly game so like BF3/4, Metro 2033, Crysis, Borderlands, etc

Is the extra 3GB useful in anyway? I think for the price about $100 more for an extra 3GB sounds good but not sure if it's worth it performance wise. I hope to have at the least 1920 x 1080 resolution if not higher on my monitors so consider that

There is no reason for a 6GB card. When 8K monitors become the standard, we should reconsider the 6GB option.

6 GB will only make a difference on the highest resolutions. 3 GB is more than suitable for 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 2560x1440 and 2560x1600.
