Hello,

Yesterday, I was playing Far Cry3 on my new PC, it automatically pick up ultra settings. The only concern I have is that my Graphic Card is reaching from 73C- 80C on auto fan settings while playing the game.

(EVGA GTX 680 FTW 4GB)

Is this OK when I'm using a lot of Graphic Card power?

My build:

Thank you in advance for responds.

It shouldn't hurt the card, but the 6 series nvidia chips don't like going above 70c. The card has thermal triggers that will trottle the card slightly until 70c or below is met. You might not notice it, but your max boost clock is probably not kicking in because you're running over 70c.

I recommend installing Msi after burner, then set a custom fan profile. Keeping that card under 70c isn't that difficult, and it will run faster. I have a 4gb 680, that stays under 70c while gaming for hours. You just need the proper fan curve.
