I built a AMD-based system and am wondering what value in a price (Canadian) would you intelligent people ask if you were to sell this (Kijiji, Ebay etc)? It has a AMD FX 8120 8 core processor sitting in a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard. Power Supply is a Enermax Naxn 550 watt 80+ bronze. Hard drives are a 500GB primary with Win 7 Pro 64-bit and a 1TB as a secondary storage drive. RAM is 8GB's of DDR3 1333Mhz (2x4GBCorsair in dual channel mode), a LG DVD burner, a Sapphire Radeon HD 6850, all in a Antec 900 case. Thank you for all responses.

Solution
To accurately calculate depreciation take what you paid for it (you can use PC Part Picker to calculate your system's value) - subtract the salvage value (if there is any) and divide it by the life of the system. Hypothetically say you paid $900 for the build and the salvage value is $150 and you've had it for two years. $900 - $150 / 2 = $375. Subtract that from the $900 so your system is now worth $900 - $375 = $525. If it's in good shape it will sell for the book value easily. If not you'll want to subtract an extra $50 or so.
