I'm running a low power Windows 2000 home FTP server and I'm thinking about adding a USB 3.0 PCI card to the computer (motherboard doesn't support PCIe).

The official website says there are only drivers for Windows XP or above. However, it appears the card is based on an NEC chipset. Are there any drivers for Windows 2000 that can support the chipset? Or perhaps are there any open source Linux drivers? The motherboard and CPU (1st gem Via C3) are very old and won't really be able to run any OS above Windows 2000. So I have to use either Windows 2000 or some light weight Linux distro.
